State of Web Frameworks

thoughts

In my mind, frameworks like django and rails has narrower and narrower fitting scenarios these days, micro-service can handle everything you want from auth to data store, and javascript frameworks (both in browser and server rendered) are getting seriously powerful, if your website is so big that you need to have a backend, then you probably would have big teams working on it. python and ruby is counter-productive when it comes to big teams, because they are typeless. I’d rather prefer .net, even Java, over them, for BIG projects with lots of people working on it. For small ones I just use static frontend + micro-services. So the fitting place is in the middle, and it’s shrinking because both ends are growing.
